Abstract Detail
PhyloCode 2020: Naming the Tree of Life Cellinese, Nico [1], Donoghue, Michael [2]. PhyloCode 2020: Naming the Tree of Life. The PhyloCode was launched in May 2020 with the publication of a companion volume in which phylogenetic definitions are provided for many well-known major clades. The aim of the proposed symposium is to celebrate this milestone in the history of systematic biology. Some of the invited talks will focus on major conceptual issues, the benefits of phylogenetic nomenclature (as well as the concerns surrounding this approach), and the development of relevant computational tools. Others will provide carefully worked examples of the application of phylogenetic nomenclature at a variety of phylogenetic scales. Log in to add this item to your schedule
