Mycology Naseer, Arooj [1], Khurshid, Rubab [1]. Morphology and Phylogeny reveal one new species and one new record of Russula in subg. Heterophyllidia for Pakistani mycobiota. One new species of genus Russula i.e., Russula alboflavescens is documented in the present investigation. The taxon is characterized by small (upto 5 cm), slightly depressed creamy pileus with yellowish tinge, white spore print, whitish to cream lamellae, absence of lamellulae, and smaller basidiospores (6.1 × 5.2 µm). Morphological and molecular sequence data assign the present species to the subsect. Cyanoxanthinae, subg. Heterophyllidia. In addition one new record of the same subg. Russula pseudoamoecolor is also described. Log in to add this item to your schedule
